What is important about the field of engineering I have chosen as a career?

I choose Civil engineering because my father then I choose to analysis and construction is given priority to work. The main reason is that I was living in my hometown about 21 years and I received a deep influence. My homtown is Beijing of China,which is a very crowded city. “The Beijing is the area of 16410 square kilometers, the population is 16.95 million, the population density is 1033 / km2 in 2010” (SOSO question, view date 10 September 2012).

Consequently, housing has become a very serious problem, the building is more and more higher and expensive, the civil engineering become important also. But, if I want to in this career in Beijing based on, I must have a good foundation of knowledge and certain work experience. So I want complete those things in Australia, altought the place is different. Before that, I have study well, this is the first goal.
